Graffiti outside the Balenciaga show.

All the yes.

Auditioning is a crazy process, you continually put yourself out there to be judged. But you can’t take any of it personally. You may be too tall, too short, too plain, to pretty. It doesn’t matter. You are you.

You are the perfect you.

It’s still true.

Here are a few pictures from my dissertation ^^

As I mentioned in a few posts before, I illustrated Instructions by Neil Gaiman. All the images were exposed in an enclosed space to separate the realm of fairy tales from our mundane world. So yeah…I pitched a tent in the middle of the gallery XD

in everything,be fearless

The whole secret of existence is to have no fear. Never fear what will become of you, depend on no one. Only the moment you reject all help are you freed. Buddha

Neil deGrasse Tyson is not impressed with all your sexism.

"Be an artist of consciousness. Your picture of reality is your most important creation. Make it powerfully profoundly beautiful."

"I am not Mike Brown. I am white. I am middle class. I am female. I am small. I am not considered a threat. When police see me they see someone who looks like them. They see their mothers, their daughters, their sisters, themselves. I am not at risk of being shot by police for existing while black. I am not at risk of being shot while unarmed. I am not at risk of being shot while armed with nothing more than a BB gun. I am not at risk of being shot for reaching for my wallet. I am privileged.
But I am outraged. And if you aren’t outraged, then you aren’t paying attention. This is America in 2014. This is our reality. It’s so easy to get jaded and to ignore these atrocities, to act like this doesn’t affect us. It’s so easy to get apathetic. In the past it was the youth who protested. Where is the rage of the youth? Where is our rage?
Like I said, I am not Mike Brown. But I am outraged."

When you flip bats upside down they become exceptionally sassy dancers.

I love these sassy guys. Look at that tongue! So cute.

Folks often ask me what they can do to help Feminist Frequency. Here are two ways:

  1. Become an awesome sustainer of our new nonprofit organization. Click here to support us!

  2. Create positive video responses to our series and/or refute some of the many strawman fallacies floating around the internet about Tropes vs Women. (Here’s an example of a great video rebuttal to some of the fallacies and accusations launched at my work.)

Here’s a good article that lists the viewing options for Legend of Korra as it currently stands. Unfortunately, it’s not available on iTunes at the moment. Episodes will be available on at 12 PM eastern every Friday, starting this Friday, Aug 1st (the other outlets should be available shortly thereafter, with Hulu being a couple weeks behind the others). One episode per week, until Aug. 22nd, when the 2-part finale will be released. Thanks for sticking with the show! Some of the best episodes are yet to come.
